About the Role

This is a senior-level role with both strategic and operational focus, connecting regional plans with delivery and bringing integrated marketing programmes to life that support NZTE’s customer-focused outcomes across Australia and the Pacific.

Responsibilities

  • Shape and deliver integrated marketing, communications and customer programme plans that support regional priorities.
  • Lead programme planning, project delivery, budget oversight, process improvement and reporting across key initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted MarComms partner and advisor to senior internal and external stakeholders across a complex organisation.
  • Connect multiple activity streams into coherent programmes, identifying priorities, reducing complexity and proactively managing risks and opportunities.
  • Lead and influence across project teams, workstreams and stakeholder groups, providing guidance, clarity and momentum without direct line management responsibility.
  • Ensure all activity reflects NZTE’s brand standards, market needs, customer outcomes and stakeholder expectations.

Requirements

  • Commercially minded marketing generalist comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Ability to switch between strategic planning and hands-on execution.
  • Experience balancing competing priorities and driving multiple customer-focused programmes in a fast-paced international environment.
  • Strong integrated marketing programme capability, sound judgement, and confidence to influence and engage across a diverse regional network.
  • Ability to build credibility quickly, align senior and operational stakeholders, and lead delivery through relationships rather than formal authority.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach with an assertive style to maintain clear priorities and drive delivery.
  • Strong operational and project management capability, with experience translating strategy into practical plans and delivered outcomes.
  • Experience developing and delivering integrated marketing programmes across events, digital channels, communications and customer initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in a matrix or complex stakeholder environment, gaining alignment and driving outcomes.
  • Budget management, process management and continuous improvement experience, with the ability to simplify complexity and prioritise effectively.
  • Strong engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence, coach, mentor and support delivery through others.
  • Exposure to customer-focused, sales-led or international organisations is valuable.
  • Experience in internal communications and media and public relations initiatives is valuable.
  • Must possess the right to work in Australia.
