About the Role

Five Below is seeking part-time Seasonal Sales Associates to join their team for the busy holiday season. This role is central to delivering outstanding customer service and driving sales, requiring excellent people and sales skills, attention to detail in merchandise organization, stocking, and checkout processes. The position is temporary, running from October through January.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers promptly, handling multiple customers efficiently.
Assess customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing them to merchandise, and offering recommendations.
Engage in suggestive selling and stay informed on product availability.
Promote store events, promotions, and special activities.
Address customer issues and use product knowledge to offer alternative solutions, aiming to turn returns into exchanges.
Inform management about merchandise restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback.
Collaborate with the team to achieve store and company objectives.

Requirements

At least 16 years old.
Available to work a flexible schedule.
Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (computers, cash registers, hand-held and mobile devices).
Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers.
Able to handle customer interactions and potential issues/concerns courteously and professionally.
Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems.
Ability to learn procedural knowledge acquired through on-the-job training.
Frequently operates cash register, computer, hand-held, phone, walkie, and mobile devices.
Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and places/removes merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet.
Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
Frequently position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop.
Frequently communicate and exchange information with customers and coworkers.
Frequently move across the sales floor assisting customers and retrieving/putting away merchandise.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including days, evenings, weekends, and potentially overnight shifts and travel.
Able to identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
Able to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
