About the Role

Five Below is seeking passionate, customer-service-oriented individuals to join their team as part-time Seasonal Sales Associates. This temporary role is central to the customer experience, focusing on driving sales and ensuring a positive shopping environment during the busy holiday season.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers promptly, handling multiple customers efficiently.
Assess customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, and offering recommendations.
Engage in suggestive selling and stay informed on product availability.
Promote store events, promotions, and special activities.
Resolve customer concerns courteously and professionally, aiming to turn returns into exchanges.
Communicate restocking needs, service requirements, and customer feedback to management.
Collaborate with the team to achieve store and company objectives.

Requirements

At least 16 years old.
Available to work a flexible schedule.
Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (computers, cash registers, hand-held and mobile devices).
Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers.
Able to handle customer interactions and potential issues/concerns courteously and professionally.
Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems.
Ability to learn procedural knowledge acquired through on-the-job training.
Frequently operates cash register, computer, hand-held, phone, walkie, and mobile devices.
Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and places/removes merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet.
Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
Frequently position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop.
Frequently communicate and exchange information with customers and coworkers.
Frequently move across the sales floor assisting customers and retrieving/putting away merchandise.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including days, evenings, weekends, and potentially overnight shifts and travel.
Able to identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
Able to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
