About the Role
The Hygiene & Stewarding Manager is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene across all food production areas and public operational spaces within the hotel. This role leads the Stewarding team, oversees food safety and hygiene compliance, and works closely with Culinary, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Engineering to ensure a safe, clean, and healthy environment for guests and team members. The successful candidate will champion a culture of cleanliness, food safety, and operational excellence, always ensuring compliance with hotel standards and local regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Stewarding team to ensure efficient daily operations.
- Oversee cleaning, sanitation, and proper storage of kitchen equipment, utensils, and operating supplies.
- Manage stewarding schedules, staffing levels, and productivity.
- Maintain inventories of stewarding equipment and cleaning supplies.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and replacement of operating equipment.
- Ensure stewarding practices align with 1 Hotels sustainability standards.
