About the Role
Lead the execution and delivery of the RBC Capital Markets Productivity & Efficiency program, supporting strategic direction and driving improvements in business operations and cost management.
Responsibilities
- Execute annual and longer-term productivity & efficiency objectives.
- Lead the identification and pursuit of efficiency opportunities across business and functions.
- Lead the measurement and assessment of new productivity technologies and opportunities.
- Develop roadmaps for productivity initiatives.
- Develop and maintain tracking of the productivity & efficiency benefits inventory.
- Establish and refine metrics and reporting frameworks.
- Support the scaling and replication of successful productivity initiatives.
- Monitor and track progress across multiple concurrent initiatives, escalating risks and roadblocks.
- Conduct regular portfolio reviews.
- Identify and recommend cost reduction strategies and process improvements.
- Partner with business leaders to enhance cost transparency and identify new ways of working.
- Maintain effective relationships and routines with business leaders, program teams, and initiative sponsors.
- Actively participate in cross-functional committees and business management forums.
- Lead a high performing team, providing coaching, mentoring, and professional development.
- Establish goals, drive performance management, support career development, and reward strong performance.
- Identify future leaders, ensuring high employee engagement, diversity, and inclusion.
- Take a strategic view of resourcing and reskilling.
- Maintain effective relationships and routines with business leaders and program/initiative teams.
- Actively participate in cross functional committees.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of relevant work experience and education.
- An experienced leader within the Capital Markets or Financial Services industry with a background in cost transformation and/or finance.
- Experience operating in a highly complex and fast-paced environment.
- Experience assessing and evolving business transformation and presenting a plan.
- Professional agility and adaptability.
- Demonstrated experience in the coordination of large cross-functional programs/projects.
- Demonstrated experience in defining and establishing new business processes and forming strong relationships.
- Possesses a blend of capital markets business acumen and functional expertise, with people and relationship skills.
- Ability and interest to work in a team-based and collegial environment.
- Strategic mindset with clarity of purpose.
- Integrator with wide perspective and creative thinking.
