About the Role
As a Financial Accountant and Accounting Specialist, you will play a central role in our Finance team, responsible for essential financial accounting processes from accounts receivable and payable to payment transactions and fixed asset accounting. You will ensure correct and timely processes, prepare monthly and annual financial statements, and further develop our financial processes in collaboration with Controlling. You will also coordinate with the team, tax advisors, banks, and external auditors.
Responsibilities
- Manage ongoing financial accounting and process business transactions in accounts receivable and payable, with a focus on accounts receivable.
- Process credit card statements, bank statements, and cash books, ensuring correct account assignment and reconciliation.
- Support the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in close cooperation with Controlling and the tax office.
- Monitor and coordinate payment transactions, manage open items, and handle dunning processes.
- Review, assign accounts, and book incoming invoices, ensuring timely payment.
- Maintain and manage fixed asset accounting, ensuring correct recording and depreciation of all investments.
- Identify potential improvements in financial processes and develop practical solutions with relevant interfaces.
- Serve as the point of contact for team members, the tax office, and external auditors on all accounting and tax-related matters.
Requirements
- Completed commercial or tax-related vocational training, ideally with further education in financial accounting or balance sheet accounting.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Finance & Accounting, ideally in an agency environment.
- Experience with SAP Business One and/or DATEV.
- Proficient Excel skills.
- Structured and proactive work approach, with the ability to prioritize in stressful situations.
- Analytical talent with the ability to communicate complex financial relationships clearly.
- Honesty, loyalty, and confidentiality are paramount.
- Very good command of German, both written and spoken.
- Ability to maintain an overview of multiple parallel tasks.
- Proactive communication with relevant interfaces.
