About the Role

Supervise a team to meet statutory obligations and deliver high-quality client services. The role oversees resources, leads a small team, and undertakes quasi-judicial and procedural responsibilities. Promote ethical conduct and high performance to support service excellence and organisational goals. This role has potential exposure to psychosocial hazards in the workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop registry staff, effectively allocating resources to ensure high-quality service delivery and achievement of operational objectives.
  • Implement training, coaching, and procedural improvements to ensure staff remain current with legislative, policy, and procedural changes.
  • Provide expert operational advice and reporting to senior management, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, service quality, and client outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of streamlined and effective work practices.
  • Foster an inclusive, safe, and high-performing workplace culture that values diversity, wellbeing, ethical conduct, and employee development.
  • Exercise sound judgment and discretion in registry operations, including the performance of quasi-judicial and procedural functions where delegated as Registrar or Deputy Registrar.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop teams in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Strong ability to build relationships, provide professional advice, and deliver high-quality client-focused services.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear guidance, training, and operational advice to staff and senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement, manage competing priorities, adapt to changing legislative and operational requirements, and make informed decisions in complex situations.
