About the Role
We are a team of over 1,000 employees, including doctors, medical-technical assistants, and tech enthusiasts, who believe that the statutory health system is one of the greatest civilizational achievements of our time. However, the system needs support to prepare for the future in the new millennium. We want to drive this change and create a digital platform for a new kind of outpatient care. Responsibilities
- Own a clear and well-prioritized product backlog that our development team can rely on.
- Prepare and confidently moderate groomings, sprint planning, and reviews.
- Translate product ideas, stakeholder requirements, and user feedback into clear, well-defined user stories with precise acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with our Product Lead to set priorities, weigh trade-offs, and advance the product roadmap.
- Support our Product Lead in refining requirements from user feedback, support, and data analysis, and in making sound product decisions.
- Act as the central point of contact in daily business between the Product Lead, stakeholders, development, design, and quality assurance, ensuring all parties have the necessary context.
- Keep an eye on sprint progress, identify obstacles early, and help the team focus on the most important topics.
- Actively contribute to our agile team, take responsibility, and help shape our product development together with us.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience as a Product Owner or in a comparable role, e.g., as a Product Manager or Business Analyst with PO responsibility.
- Experience in the development and management of AI-supported products and a good understanding of how AI can be meaningfully integrated into products.
- Sound knowledge of agile methods and Scrum, as well as practical experience with the entire Product Owner toolkit – from backlog management and refinements to sprint planning and writing user stories.
- Ability to formulate complex requirements clearly and understandably, creating user stories with precise acceptance criteria that form a reliable basis for development teams.
- Confident communication with various stakeholders and ability to mediate effectively between business, design, and development.
- Structured, organized, and detail-oriented work style, maintaining an overview even with multiple parallel topics.
- Experience with Jira or comparable backlog and collaboration tools.
- Data-driven decision-making and knowing what questions to ask when important information or data is missing.
- Proficiency in both German and English, spoken and written.
- Good technical understanding and ability to confidently engage with topics such as APIs, microservices, and web platforms. A development background – even from personal projects – is a plus.
- Experience in dentistry, healthcare, or medical technology is an advantage, but not a requirement.
