About the Role
The Hilb Group is seeking a motivated and ambitious Marketing Specialist to join their team in Uniondale, NY. This role supports internal creative marketing efforts and manages the placement of new business accounts, from submission to binding.
Responsibilities
- Place new business accounts.
- Support internal creative marketing efforts.
- Submit to carriers for quotes, negotiate, propose, and bind coverage.
- Negotiate with companies for agency coverage standards, terms, and premiums.
- Address marketing service requirements and review new business applications against proposals and binders.
- Handle placement through binding, including document processing, certificate creation, and confirmation of binding documents and client payments.
- Ensure timely responses in accordance with departmental binding procedures.
- Prepare proposal, binding, and financial documents for client presentation.
- Handle phone calls to and from companies regarding quotes and new markets.
- Utilize and rate online rating programs for assigned accounts and lines requiring online rating.
- Develop relationships with company underwriters and understand market conditions, placement opportunities, and how to place business to maximize regional income.
Requirements
- High school or GED required.

- Technical knowledge of product area or industry.
