About the Role

This course (RSM270H1 - Operations Management) is an introduction to the management of business processes that convert inputs (labor, material, equipment) into outputs (goods and services) for internal and external markets. Topics include aggregate planning, inventory processes, supply chain management and service operations management. Presents modern quantitative and computing tools necessary for in-depth operational design and analysis.

Responsibilities

All normal duties related to the design, administration and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content
Supervision of teaching assistants
Development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and examinations
Calculation and submission of grades to university officials
Holding regular student office hours and maintaining reasonable availability for student contact

Requirements

An MBA, or a graduate degree with a specialization in Operations Management, Management Science or Statistics, or a PhD in Operations Management or related discipline is preferred.
Previous experience teaching Operation Management courses at the graduate degree level is required.
Demonstrated excellence teaching at the graduate level in a post-secondary institution is highly preferred.
