About the Role

Pool Paraprofessionals are responsible for swimming pool operation, safety, and supervision of students.

Responsibilities

• Understands and applies the rules and regulations in the swimming pool area.
• Assists with evaluation of environmental hazards.
• Uses lifesaving equipment professionally and safely.
• Assists with bather and crowd control.
• Implements the pool safety plan in case of emergencies.
• Dresses appropriately and professionally in pool area.
• Assists with direct supervision of all bathers in providing a safe environment.
• Records daily pool attendance for Health Department records.
• Responsible for preparing the Physical Plant for instruction.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

Requirements

• One (1) year professional experience with children preferred.
