About the Role

The Supplier Engineering Manager drives strategic supply network development and cost management for Anduril's product hardware throughout their lifecycles by collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Conduct supplier selection for specific products, leveraging the approved supplier list.
Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development through concept scoping, feature trade-offs, Total Cost of Ownership modeling, joint design development, and simulation of mechanical & electronics designs.
Drive commercial development and execution of sourcing strategy using market knowledge, supplier rationalization, commodity pricing plans, and effective principles.
Develop and consolidate a manufacturing Bill of Materials (BOM), working with Quality & Manufacturing, to scale production internally and with suppliers.
Oversee all New Product Introduction (NPI) component procurement, ensuring on-time delivery and accuracy to scale manufacturing operations.
Manage the request for and verification of supplier-related Capital Expenditures (CAPEX) throughout NPI.
Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility.
Complete BOM risk assessments and develop part-specific plans.
Ensure component qualifications are completed by relevant stakeholders ahead of production need dates.
Reduce supply chain complexity through commonality optimization and component/supplier rationalization.
Lead all cost engineering activities to align the bottoms-up cost curve with product cost, maximizing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) across the product lifecycle.
Manage ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs, import/export costs, and cost inflation.

Requirements

Background in design & development of electronics devices.
Experience in advanced sourcing activities, including roles as a commodity/sourcing manager.
Experience in supplier development (technology, process, supply chain, etc.).
Experience with early supplier engagement, prior to product/engineering requirement realization.
Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component & product level.
Familiarity with developing high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
Must be eligible to obtain an Australian NV1 clearance.
