About the Role
As a Senior Workday Integration Developer – Workday Studio, you will design, develop, implement, and maintain integrations between Workday and other systems. This role requires deep technical expertise in Workday's integration tools and methodologies to ensure smooth and accurate data flow.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop integration solutions between Workday and external systems.
- Use Workday Studio to develop complex integrations, configuring web services, developing transformation logic, and handling data mappings.
- Leverage Workday Cloud Connect and pre-built connectors for efficient integration with third-party applications.
- Customize integrations to meet unique business requirements and align with Workday best practices.
- Build integration workflows to trigger business processes in Workday or external systems.
- Develop and configure Workday Extend Apps and Workday Orchestration.
- Integrate various software components and systems, ensuring seamless communication.
- Oversee the deployment of integration solutions into production environments.
- Assist with data migration efforts, ensuring accurate transfer of legacy data.
- Ensure integrations remain compatible with Workday's quarterly releases and version updates.
- Participate in Agile development methodologies, contributing to project planning and success.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on high-level architectural decisions and design patterns.
- Work with business analysts and functional teams to understand integration requirements.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and resolve issues.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors for external integrations.
- Provide ongoing support and monitoring of all integrations, managing issues and leading incident resolution.
- Stay current on emerging Workday features, updates, and trends to optimize integrations.
- Explore new tools, frameworks, and techniques to improve digital solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with new Workday releases and features, assessing impact on existing integrations.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including system designs and architecture diagrams.
- Share knowledge and expertise with team members.
- Guide and mentor developers, analysts, and other technical staff on integration tools and processes.
- Build strong relationships across teams to foster collaboration and align integration efforts with organizational objectives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience building Workday Integrations with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, PECI, and other relevant tools.
- 5+ years' experience partnering with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- 5+ years of experience resolving complex technical issues related to Workday integrations using strong analytical skills.
- 5+ years' experience with Workday SOAP API, REST API, JSON, and Import API pattern.
- 1+ year of experience with Workday reporting, calculated fields and Studio.
- 1+ year of experience with Workday security, Core HCM business processes, and alerts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
