About the Role
Seeking a qualified trade person to provide general handyperson services to a residential care service. This role involves routine, planned, ad-hoc, and urgent maintenance requests, as well as general garden maintenance. Tasks range from painting, patching, and flooring repairs to assisting residents with sensors, water pressure, TV remotes, and installations.
Responsibilities
- Provide routine, planned, ad-hoc, and urgent maintenance requests.
- Perform general garden maintenance, including pruning and mowing.
- Assist residents with various tasks such as sensor, water pressure, and TV remote issues.
- Install bathrooms and handrails.
- Participate in an on-call roster.
Requirements
- Relevant trade qualifications in carpentry, painting, electrical, or plumbing (desirable).
- Experience in Aged Care, Health, or Community services (highly desirable).
- Ability to perform maintenance works.
- Hold a valid Driver’s Licence (essential).
- Experience working in a varied work environment.
- Customer service mindset.
- Planning and time management skills.
- Must have a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (within the last 6 months).
- NDIS Worker Screening Check may be a requirement of this role.
- Employment is conditional upon the completion of all required pre-employment checks, including NDIS Worker Screening checks.
