Responsibilities
- Develop and execute short- to mid-term tactical plans that support the organization’s construction strategy.
- Contribute to operational planning, budget oversight, process development, and improvements.
- Address complex, ambiguous problems requiring deep investigation and cross-departmental coordination.
- Apply broad construction expertise and seasoned judgment to drive solutions.
- Interact with internal departments, external partners, subcontractors, vendors, and occasionally clients.
- Oversee multiple teams or units, ensuring proper staffing, mentoring, performance management, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Supervise operations on active construction sites, upholding safety standards, managing schedules, resolving conflicts, monitoring subcontractor performance, and maintaining project quality.
- Interpret plans and specifications.
- Manage logistics.
- Mitigate risks.
- Support business development efforts.
Requirements
- 8+ years actively creating a Safety and QA/QC Cultural
- 5+ years in a Top Leadership position for multiple projects
- 15+ years of Building and construction experience (For NYC-Knowledge of the DOB’s technical reports and Chapter 33)
- 10+ years experience scheduling and prioritizing activities.
- 8+ years experience identifying and dealing with Risk & Mitigation procedures
- Demonstrated ability to Mentor and develop talent.
- Proven experience stepping into a problem project and quickly identifying problem areas or concerns and setting direction for correcting the issue.
- Bachelor’s Degree - Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or similar or 8 years equivalent experience plus minimum 10 years prior relevant experience.
