About the Role

The Clinical Research Coordinator I assists in the daily activities of clinical research studies, obtains informed consent, and collects, maintains, and organizes study information. This role also assists in preparing grant applications and documents for Institutional Review Board and the Grants and Contracts Office.

Responsibilities

Collects and records study data and inputs all information into the database.
Obtains informed consent under minimal supervision and educates participants on study requirements.
Assists with clinical research activities, including answering phone calls, screening participants for eligibility, registering subjects, and administering questionnaires.
Assists in preparing grant applications and IRB/GCO submissions.
Maintains source documents and subject files according to hospital procedures and ensures accurate data compilation through chart reviews.
Secures, delivers, and ships clinical specimens as required by the protocol.
Prepares for monitoring visits.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelors or Masters degree in Science or a closely related field.
One year of research experience preferred.
Industry-sponsored clinical trials experience preferred.
Regulatory experience preferred.
