About the Role
As a Maintenance Mechanic at Thatcher Chemical facilities, you will ensure the reliable and safe operation of equipment and facilities in a chemical manufacturing and distribution environment. Your work will involve performing preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining a safe work environment, contributing to the creation of essential chemistries and solutions that support clean water, safe environments, and critical industries.
Responsibilities
- Complete projects assigned by the maintenance supervisor.
- Successfully maintain plant assets and mechanical systems minimizing downtime and maximizing equipment utilization and equipment life.
- Think on your feet and change direction at a moment’s notice.
- Own work processes and meet deadlines.
- Work safely with strict adherence to established company policies, safety protocols, OSHA requirements and industry safety practices.
- Understand, interpret and follow technical construction and mechanical drawings and plans.
- Use hand tools and other chemical plant machinery safely (JLG, forklifts etc.).
- Work safely in a variety of climates (hot/cold, dry/humid).
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience with a high level of competency in a general maintenance environment.
- Experience in Electrical (PLC, HMI, instrumentation, and general control systems).
- Experience in Mechanics (forklift repairs, boilers, water treatment systems).
- Experience in Rotating equipment (pumps and compressors).
- Experience in Piping Fitting (Steel, PVC).
- Experience in Welding.
- Knowledge and competence of basic computer functions (Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to understand, interpret and follow technical construction and mechanical drawings and plans.
- Read, write, and understand the English language.
- Prior experience in a chemical or Petro-chemical manufacturing environment preferred but not required.

- $30-$35.50 per hour plus 2nd shift differential
