About the Role

Seeking an ambitious, strategic, and results-driven Director of Sales – Healthcare Services to lead new business acquisition and market expansion across healthcare environments. This role involves identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities while cultivating long-term partnerships with healthcare facilities. You will manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and site assessments to contract negotiation and client onboarding, collaborating with internal teams to ensure exceptional service delivery and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans and growth initiatives to achieve and exceed annual revenue goals within the healthcare sector.
  • Identify and pursue high-value new business opportunities across targeted hospital networks, outpatient surgical centers, long-term care facilities, and medical office portfolios.
  • Analyze sales metrics, CRM data, and pipeline conversion rates to deliver accurate revenue forecasting.
  • Represent the company at healthcare industry events, facility management conferences, trade associations, and networking opportunities.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with healthcare C-suite leaders, VP/Directors of Support Services, System Facility Directors, Environmental Services (EVS) Leadership, and Procurement Officers.
  • Lead consultative sales presentations, walk-through site assessments, and proposal development tailored to stringent clinical cleanliness standards, infection prevention goals, and patient satisfaction initiatives.
  • Negotiate pricing, complex service agreements, scopes of work, and performance metrics to maximize profitability and long-term client retention.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial prospecting through contract execution and clinical onboarding.
  • Coordinate with operations, estimating, and implementation teams to design customized facility service solutions that adhere to healthcare compliance standards.
  • Partner with operations leadership post-sale to ensure aligned expectations, smooth handoffs, and consistent service delivery across clinical environments.
  • Build and maintain an active, structured sales pipeline using CRM platforms.
  • Establish clear key performance indicators (KPIs), pipeline activity metrics, and performance benchmarks.
  • Provide regular internal reporting and updates, adhering to established processes.
  • Partner with marketing and operations to align healthcare-focused messaging, case studies, and sales enablement tools.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive B2B sales experience, with a proven track record of selling facility solutions or managed services into healthcare environments.
  • Strong background in healthcare facilities management, clinical/hospital environmental services (EVS), healthcare janitorial/sanitation, or specialized facility services tailored to acute and non-acute medical settings.
  • Solid understanding of healthcare facility standards, including Joint Commission (TJC) compliance, infection control protocols, AHE standards, terminal cleaning requirements, and patient satisfaction scoring (HCAHPS impact).
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, conduct site assessments, and consistently meet or exceed multi-million dollar annual revenue quotas.
  • Demonstrated success engaging and negotiating with healthcare C-suite executives, VP of Support Services, Facility Directors, and healthcare procurement teams.
  • Experience collaborating with estimating and operations teams to build tailored service scopes and compliant pricing models.
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM platforms for pipeline management, activity tracking, and forecasting.
  • Exceptional consultative presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willing to travel to medical facilities, industry events, and client sites.
