About the Role
As Fitch expands its use of data and AI for innovation and growth, this role will shape the Chief Data Office's strategy at the intersection of data and AI. You will ensure enterprise data capabilities evolve to meet AI needs and identify opportunities to use AI to accelerate and improve how the CDO delivers data capabilities. You will serve as the AI subject matter leader within the CDO, translating evolving AI needs into data strategy, requirements, and priorities.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the CDO's AI data enablement strategy and roadmap.
- Establish how enterprise data capabilities must evolve to support Fitch's AI ambitions.
- Identify where AI can accelerate and improve CDO data programs.
- Define and advance Fitch's approach to AI-ready data, including capabilities and patterns for trusted, accessible, well-understood, and usable data by AI applications and agents.
- Translate enterprise AI needs into data requirements and priorities, partnering across CDO, Emerging Technology, Software, and business AI teams.
- Identify and drive opportunities to apply AI across CDO data capabilities and processes.
- Lead targeted experimentation with emerging AI and data technologies.
- Serve as the AI subject matter leader and senior advisor within the CDO.
- Partner with Data Governance, Emerging Technology, Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, and other stakeholders to ensure AI data capabilities address security, compliance, data rights, intellectual property, and governance requirements.
- Own outcomes and execution of the CDO's AI data enablement agenda.
- Establish measurable objectives and provide clear visibility into progress, dependencies, risks, and decisions.
Requirements
- 10–15+ years of relevant experience across data and AI, including significant experience leading complex enterprise initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience designing or delivering AI-ready enterprise data capabilities, including semantic layers, knowledge graphs, and ontologies.
- Strong practical understanding of modern AI technologies and architectures, including generative AI, large language models, retrieval approaches, and agentic AI.
- Deep understanding of enterprise data capabilities, including data platforms and products, metadata, data quality, governance, and modern data architecture.
- Demonstrated ability to translate AI use cases and emerging technologies into enterprise data, technology, and operating-model strategies and requirements.
- Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives, influence senior stakeholders, and drive execution across organizational boundaries.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and communication skills.
- Sufficient technical depth to engage credibly with technical partners and communicate effectively with executive and non-technical audiences.
