About the Role
We are a provider of after-school pickleball and tennis classes for Grades K–3 across the Bay Area. We are seeking dedicated coaches and assistant coaches to join our team. This part-time position involves teaching pickleball and tennis to elementary school children, managing classes, and creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage a class size of 8 - 16 students with ages 5-10 years old.
- Teach pickleball/tennis using provided lesson plans.
- Attend a two-day training/shadowing session.
- Transport tennis equipment to and from class and set up necessary equipment.
- Take attendance, sign in, and sign out students for each class.
- Interact with parents and school office staff.
- Provide feedback for each student by the end of the session.
- Capture pictures of kids in action each session.
Requirements
- Must be 19+ years old.
- Previous teaching or playing experience in pickleball or tennis is preferred.
- USPTA/PTR certification is preferred.
- Enjoy working with kids and possess effective classroom management skills.
- Flexibility, reliability, punctuality, and a professional, enthusiastic approach.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Resilient, positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and within a small team.
- Must have own car and valid driver's license.
- Willingness to undergo a live scan background check and TB test.
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
- Must complete sending photo and short biography for website upload.
- Must be local to the US or already have a necessary working VISA.
- Must currently live locally and be available for in-person work.
