About the Role
Abraham Joshua Heschel School is seeking a temporary Science Teacher for the Lower School team to teach science classes for students in grades 1-5.
Responsibilities
- Leading daily science lessons for grades 1-5 in the Science Lab
- Collaborating with the Lower School Assistant Head in following the Science Curriculum scope per grade
- Collaborating with other subject specialists
- Coverage of informal times of day (lunch, recess, etc.)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s strongly preferred) in Science, Education, or a related field
- Experience teaching students in grades 1-5
- Enthusiasm for science education
- Strong classroom management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Must upload a cover letter and resume
- Must verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States
- Must complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire
