About the Role
Artheon is seeking talented professionals to join our growing team in support of diverse engineering and environmental projects. This is a great opportunity to contribute to meaningful work in a collaborative and innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of a professional engineer, design various project elements including drainage conveyance systems, stormwater management BMPs, hydrologic and hydraulic design for bridges and culverts, and other related elements
- Perform hydrologic, hydraulic and drainage design calculations
- Prepare/assist with 3D design models in Civil 3D, Microstation Inroads and Openroads software
- Draft contract plans and details for various project phases including preliminary and final designs
- Prepare quantity calculations, cost estimates and supplemental specifications
- Perform site visits to support design efforts
- Preparation of design and compliance reports in support of environmental permit applications
- Assist with preparation of permits to Federal, State, County, and local agencies, including but not limited to FEMA, NJDEP, NJ Pinelands Commission, and County Soil Conservation Districts
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies and prepare meeting minutes
- Work within a team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other related Engineering discipline
- 0-1 years of related experience; previous internship(s) preferred
- EIT preferred
- Knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic principles, waterway floodplain delineations, bridge and culvert hydraulics
- CAD (AutoCAD, MicroStation) skills are a plus
- Strong communication and technical writing skills
- Ability to work within a team and independently
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent computer skills are required
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
