About the Role
Children’s Day School (CDS) is seeking experienced youth development workers to join their afterschool program team. This role involves supervising students in grades K-8 and supporting program operations, with flexible scheduling options and opportunities for increased hours.
Responsibilities
- Supervising students in grades K – 8
- Supporting the operation of the afterschool program
- Stepping in to sub in classrooms based on a flexible on-call basis
- Staff vacation camps
Requirements
- High School diploma
- Experience teaching or leading youth activities
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Great sense of humor
- Ability to take initiative
- Ability to work passionately and joyfully
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students and parents
- Desire and ability to take on increasing responsibility in the classroom and the CDS community
