About the Role
The Cambria Hotel Lake Placid is seeking a Banquet Captain to join their hospitality team. This role offers advancement opportunities for individuals passionate about providing excellent guest experiences.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned staff according to hotel policies, including training, supervision, and evaluation.
- Maintain knowledge of event and catering trends and cost-effective management.
- Conduct pre-event staff meetings covering daily specials, reservation information, and projected business.
- Participate in weekly Banquet Event Order (BEO) Meetings.
- Ensure smooth event operations through regular circulation.
- Assist with Server and Bartender duties as needed.
Requirements
- Two years of supervisory experience in Restaurant/Bar/Event operations is preferred.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Possession of or willingness to obtain "Tips" and "ServSafe" certifications within six months of employment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service skills and a commitment to exceptional guest experiences.
