About the Role

The Whitney’s Academic Year Internship program offers a semester-long paid internship for rising Juniors and above, including Graduate students, enrolled in an accredited academic program. Interns will focus on content strategy and execution within the Digital Content department, overseeing the Museum’s website, video, and social media channels.

Responsibilities

  • Aid department in all aspects of content production for video, web, social
  • Pitch, plan, and create short-form videos for social media
  • Participate in department planning for upcoming exhibitions
  • Do archival and historical research for documentary-style video projects
  • Assist with livestreaming, interview transcription, and asset management

Requirements

  • Must have experience using Adobe Creative Suite, notably Adobe Premiere
  • Passion for modern and contemporary art, storytelling, and media production
  • Eagerness to learn new skills quickly
  • Strong, clear communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Interest and previous experience with video and audio production
  • Rising Juniors and above (to include Graduate students) enrolled in an accredited academic program
