About the Role
The Whitney’s Academic Year Internship program offers a semester-long paid internship for rising Juniors and above, including Graduate students, enrolled in an accredited academic program. Interns are assigned to a specific department for the duration of the internship. This role focuses on supporting the Corporate Membership program and assisting with events.
Responsibilities
- Assembling Renewal and Welcome Packets
- Processing gifts through RE
- Prospect research for Corporate Membership & Sponsorship
- Taking inquiries for the Rental Program
- Assisting with scheduling for the Rental Program
- Updating rental documents
- Assisting department with administrative tasks including invoices, event list collection, filing, and processing payments
- On-site assistance with internal, external, and fundraising events
- Performing additional research tasks as needed
Requirements
- Undergraduates and graduates currently enrolled in accredited academic year programs are eligible
- Applicants must have completed a minimum of one year’s worth of academic coursework
- Undergraduate freshmen are not eligible
- While a demonstrated interest in art and art history is preferred, students in all majors are encouraged to apply
- Previous museum experience is not required
