About the Role
The Whitney’s Academic Year Internship program offers a semester-long paid internship for rising Juniors and above, including Graduate students, enrolled in an accredited academic program. This internship is focused on Spanish Initiatives within the Education department.
Responsibilities
- Work independently on research projects regarding Spanish resources, with the ability to work remotely and in person.
- Support and assist in Spanish projects, including English-to-Spanish translation texts and editing, and program descriptions.
- Assist and support the Associate Manager with administrative and general duties, including tracking expenses, receipts, and budgets.
Requirements
- Undergraduates and graduates currently enrolled in accredited academic year programs are eligible.
- Applicants must have completed a minimum of one year’s worth of academic coursework; undergraduate freshmen are not eligible.
- A demonstrated interest in art and art history is preferred, but students in all majors are encouraged to apply.
- Previous museum experience is not required.
Skills
- Strong reading and writing skills in Spanish.
- Native Spanish speaker preferred.
