About the Role
Responsible for performing general maintenance and cleaning duties, ensuring high standards of safety and sanitation for members and team members. This role involves gathering carts and flatbeds from the parking lot to ensure easy access for members.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and cleaning duties.
- Maintain high standards of safety and sanitation.
- Gather and return carts/flatbeds from the parking lot.
- Ensure carts are well-stocked, clean, and in working order.
- Return new and unused merchandise to the sales floor.
- Perform wet and dry mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, carpet extracting, washing glass, emptying trash, and pulling pallets.
- Maintain outdoor grounds, including cart corrals, sidewalks, and outdoor trash receptacles.
- Operate floor scrubber, trash compactor, and cardboard baler machines safely.
- Restock maintenance and cleaning supplies.
- Perform minor and routine building repairs.
- Adhere to all club policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
- Deliver service excellence through all points of contact.
- Resolve and deescalate to address member concerns.
- Ensure a safe and positive environment and experience for members.
- Work as a team to deliver GOLD club standards daily.
- Maintain a Grand Opening look daily.
- Ensure all items are stocked and promotional plans are executed.
- Maintain visible and accurate signage.
- Keep the club clean and organized, inside and out.
- Understand how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for the department.
- See the connection between consistent execution and positive business impact.
Requirements
- Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
- Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
- Prior retail/wholesale experience preferred.
- May be less than 18 years of age to perform parking lot cart functions.
- Must be over 18 to operate equipment and enter age-restricted areas.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job.
Skills
- Familiarity with AI tools, including ChatGPT, is recognized and valued.
