About the Role
BJ's Wholesale Club is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team, focusing on accurate product receiving and maintaining high standards in the receiving department. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of the receiving area, including organization, cleanliness, and safe handling of merchandise.
Responsibilities
- Accurately receive product and support completion of receiving reports.
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and safe operation within the receiving department.
- Ensure safe product placement and adherence to cold chain standards.
- Process Direct Store Delivery (DSD) loads and DSD credits.
- Process reverse logistics information and corporate-initiated returns.
- Maintain dock security, conduct bag checks, and monitor personnel flow in secure areas.
- Ensure compactors are locked, secured, and used by authorized personnel.
- Safely operate a forklift and accurately receive merchandise according to company policy.
- Properly store received merchandise according to product specifications.
- Maintain all club policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
- Deliver service excellence through all points of contact.
- Resolve and deescalate to address every member concern.
- Ensure a safe and positive environment and experience for members.
- Greet, Anticipate, and Appreciate members (GAA).
- Maintain GOLD Member Standards daily.
- Work as a team to deliver GOLD club standards daily.
- Ensure all items are stocked and promotional plans are executed.
- Maintain visible and accurate signage.
- Keep the club clean and organized, inside and out.
- Access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for the department.
- Understand the connection between consistent execution and business impact.
Requirements
- Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Prior forklift experience preferred.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job.
