About the Role
An entry-level blended position responsible for duties and responsibilities within Enrollment Management for credit and non-credit students.
Responsibilities
- Process and scan incoming mail and documents required for enrollment processes.
- Review and analyze required supporting documents to process actions and update the Student Information System.
- Provide general information to students regarding admissions, enrollment, residency, and other student services.
- Process students’ transcript requests, enrollment verifications, and other general requests.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines.
- Provide telephone and front-counter support to Enrollment Management.
- Support admissions and enrollment efforts in collaboration with the College community.
- Maintain effective communication between students, faculty, and external community stakeholders.
- Ensure timely follow-up with applicants throughout the enrollment process.
- Utilize technology to access data, maintain records, and generate reports.
- Interpret and implement regulations, policies, and procedures pertaining to Admissions.
- Understand the interactions between Student Success and Academic Affairs.
- Complete required Dallas College Professional Development training hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher.
- Two (2) years of experience in a higher education setting with demonstrated experience in admissions and/or records.
- Official transcript will be required.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills preferred.
- Will be subject to a criminal background check.
- Some positions may be subject to a fingerprint check.
Skills
- Knowledge of community colleges and Dallas College vision.
- Knowledge of admissions, records, and enrollment management functions.
- General knowledge and experience in working with student success programs.
- Advanced knowledge of computer technology and software applications for enrollment processes.
- Ability to work as part of a team and be flexible.
- Ability to assist students with admissions and enrollment requirements.
- Demonstrated oral and written communications skills.
- Strong knowledge and experience providing effective customer service.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas and information effectively.
- Ability to maintain effective communication.
- Ability to utilize technology to access data, maintain records, and generate reports.
- Ability to interpret, articulate, and implement regulations, policies and procedures.
