About the Role
The MIS team is responsible for the development and support of applications and tools for Canadian Banking, focusing on business analysis, reporting, and performance measurement. The role involves supporting Customer Profitability, Regional P&L, and Monthly Branch Reports (MBR) in a dynamic, team, and results-oriented environment. The incumbent will act as a change agent, ensuring smooth transitions and insightful analysis within Canadian Banking Finance, business lines, and support groups.
Responsibilities
- Work effectively and diplomatically in a team environment across organizational lines.
- Gather requirements, perform analysis, conduct testing, manage change control, implement solutions, and develop business continuity plans.
- Manage end-to-end data operations using multi-dimensional datasets.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of the Bank’s Retail, Small Business, and Commercial products, including processes related to business growth and revenue analysis.
- Knowledge of effective controls to ensure accuracy and completeness of MIS data.
- Experience with Mainframe (JCL / SAS).
- Experience with Data Lifecycle (ETL) using MSSQL, SSIS, Shell Scripting, SFTP.
- Experience with Data Warehousing using Hadoop, Hive (EDL/EDW), GCP.
- Experience with Data Modeling & Reporting using Power BI, MS Access, Excel.
- 5+ years of experience with scripting or programming languages (Mainframe / SAS / .net / SQL most desired).
- 5+ years of experience with relational database technologies (MSSQL, Hadoop, Oracle).
- Willingness and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
