About the Role
United Group is seeking a part-time Van Driver to join their team at Hamilton Parc, an active adult community in Guilderland, NY. This role involves operating and maintaining a van, transporting residents, and assisting with resident services and event support.
Responsibilities
- Operates and maintains buses in a safe and legal manner
- Transports van to repair shop for maintenance and repairs
- Maintains daily trip log, detailing mileage and gas
- Reports any vehicle accidents or resident injuries to the Manager immediately
- Reviews calendar for scheduled trips to plan accordingly
- Assists Lifestyle Coordinator with scheduled events, parties, etc.
- Assists team members with light cleaning duties when not driving
- Provides backup coverage/support for front desk Concierge as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years of driving experience
- Valid driver's license
- Efficient knowledge of traffic violations
- Clean driving record that demonstrates sound judgment and good safety habits
- Demonstrates integrity on a personal and professional level
- Ability to interact with a wide range of people
- Ability to solve problems involving residents, personnel, and emergency situations
