About the Role

Project Resources Group (PRG) is seeking an Access Coordinator to join our telecommunications Access Team in New York City. In this role, you will secure, coordinate, and document access to residential and commercial properties so construction and network projects can move forward on schedule. This is a field-first position where you will spend most of your day visiting properties, meeting with stakeholders, and resolving access barriers.

Responsibilities

  • Visit assigned residential and commercial properties throughout the market, often several per day.
  • Identify decision-makers and coordinate with property owners, managers, superintendents, and building staff to secure site access.
  • Explain project needs clearly and professionally, obtaining required information, approvals, and documentation.
  • Identify and document access restrictions, property conditions, contacts, and issues affecting scheduled work.
  • Photograph and document field conditions as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of each visit in required tracking systems.
  • Manage an assigned portfolio of properties and ensure resolution of all open items, escalating when appropriate.
  • Prioritize daily tasks based on construction schedules, access requirements, and project priorities.
  • Collaborate with construction crews, project managers, field operations, and partners, providing timely status updates.
  • Represent PRG and clients professionally in appearance and communication.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience in a field-based, customer-facing, or coordination role.
  • Telecommunications or cable field operations background is relevant.
  • Construction coordination background is relevant.
  • Property or facilities management background is relevant.
  • Utility coordination background is relevant.
  • Right-of-entry, property access, or site acquisition background is relevant.
  • Permitting or field inspection background is relevant.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confidence engaging with people at all levels.
  • Persistence and follow-through to ensure open items are resolved.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail with accurate record-keeping.
  • Sound problem-solving skills and good judgment for escalation.
  • Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision while collaborating with a team.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • The majority of time will be spent in the field, with regular travel throughout the assigned market.
  • Fieldwork includes walking properties, climbing stairs, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • A reliable vehicle is required.
  • Appropriate auto insurance is required.
