About the Role
This internship offers a robust onboarding experience to understand construction management processes, tools, and company culture. You will enhance your skills through ongoing trainings, workshops, and jobsite tours, while building relationships with leadership and employees through various networking events.
Responsibilities
- Assist with quantity take-offs, focusing on accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Assist in preparing documents for subcontractor budgeting and bidding.
- Assist in preparing scopes of work for construction trades.
- Analyze subcontractor/supplier proposals for completeness and accuracy.
- Negotiate pricing with subcontractors/suppliers.
- Assist in preparing pricing qualifications.
- Assist in the final assembly of estimates and GMPs for client submission.
- Develop Value Engineering opportunities for client and architect presentation.
Requirements
- Able to review plans and specs with understanding.
- Experience with Excel.
- Good math and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Able to provide closure to assigned tasks within deadlines.
