About the Role
Tutors will provide bilingual (Spanish) support to 3rd through 5th-grade students by supporting teachers directly in their classrooms to help students build confidence and achieve academic success. Subjects of focus will be math and ELA to prepare for state exams.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring in core subjects like Math, Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Science, and Regents exam prep.
- Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to deliver engaging, personalized learning strategies.
- Support teachers directly in classrooms to help students build confidence and achieve academic success.
Requirements
- Degree-seeking student or graduate with a minimum 3.0 GPA in Education or a relevant field.
- Available to work 10-35 hours per week at assigned school(s).
- Passion for supporting academic and personal success, especially for underserved students.
- Collaborative spirit, ready to work alongside teachers, school leaders, and fellow tutors.
