About the Role
Tutors deliver targeted ELA and Math test-preparation intervention for students in grades 3–8 who are living in temporary housing. The program will run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring in core subjects like Math, Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Science, and Regents exam prep.
- Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to deliver engaging, personalized learning strategies that help students thrive academically and personally.
Requirements
- Degree-seeking student or graduate with a minimum 3.0 GPA in Education or a relevant field.
- Available to work 10-35 hours per week at an assigned school.
- Ready to work alongside teachers, school leaders, and fellow tutors to maximize student success.
