About the Role
Join our mission-driven team as an Education Champion, empowering young minds through explicit, systematic phonics instruction and personalized learning strategies. This role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on urban students' academic success.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring in core subjects like Math, Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Science, and Regents exam prep.
- Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to deliver engaging, personalized learning strategies.
- Deliver explicit, systematic phonics instruction through established programs.
- Implement prescribed lesson sequences with fidelity.
- Deliver instruction that builds students’ foundational reading skills and supports their progression toward fluent, accurate reading.
Requirements
- Demonstrate experience delivering explicit, systematic phonics instruction through established programs such as Reading, SPIRE, and Sounds Sensible.
- Strong understanding of evidence-based phonics practices.
- Degree-seeking student or graduate with a minimum 3.0 GPA in Education or a relevant field.
- Available to work 10-35 hours per week at assigned school(s).
- Ready to work alongside teachers, school leaders, and fellow tutors to maximize student success.

- Opportunity to earn a program completion bonus of up to 10% of your total program earnings.
