This position is within our Central Therapy department, offering you the opportunity to experience a range of patient populations.
Responsibilities
- Assess, develop and implement physiotherapy treatment interventions utilizing sound clinical reasoning and evidence-based practices
- Collaborate with interprofessional team to develop comprehensive care plans, transition planning and engage in patient education as required
- Supervise Physiotherapist Assistant (PTA) in the delivery of Physiotherapy care plan
- Actively participate in team meetings to support patient care activities such as daily huddles, team rounds and family meetings
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in alignment with college and hospital standards
- Perform other duties consistent with the job classification as required
Requirements
- Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO)
- University degree from a recognized Physiotherapy program
- Current Assistive Devices Program (ADP) Authorizer for Mobility Aids
- If not yet authorized, must apply within 3 months of start date
- If not yet eligible, must apply within 3 months of eligibility
- Functional Independence Measure (FIM) certification (Preferred)
- Demonstrated satisfactory job performance and attendance history
