About the Role

Supports patient care by providing clerical, environmental, and customer service support for the patient care unit. Performs duties related to processing patient information for visits, including reception, registration, medical records management, and telephone management. Responsible for accurate and timely input of collected information into hospital information systems.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Experience working with diverse clientele who may be facing medical difficulties preferred

Skills

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Proven work history of demonstrating proficient and courteous telephone skills and interactions with all customers
  • Demonstrates clear, professional written and verbal communications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications to include word processing, and e-mail at a minimum

Work Type

  • 40 hours per week
  • 7:00am-3:30pm
  • Work every other weekend with an additional day off during the weekday

Education Level

  • HS diploma or GED
  • A.A.S. Degree preferred

Salary/Compensations

  • $18.50 - $24.98 an hour
