About the Role
The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) implements occupational therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, focusing on patient care within their scope of practice.
Responsibilities
- Implements standards of care for occupational therapy services.
- Performs services planned, delegated, and supervised by a registered occupational therapist.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant curriculum.
- Certified by the National Certification Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Licensed by the State Board of Healing Arts.
- Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience as a certified occupational therapy assistant.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organization skills.
- Valid CPR certification (in-person with practical skills evaluation).
- Access to reliable transportation.
