About the Role
We are seeking Merchandisers to service multiple stores in the Toronto, ON and surrounding areas market. The primary focus of this position is merchandising gift card product and various product lines in multiple retailers nationwide. Responsibilities include packing out product, setting to plan-o-gram, reporting out-of-stock items, placing shelf tags, conducting resets, and installing new fixtures. This role also involves building relationships with Retail Management and providing customer guidance on product lines.
Responsibilities
- Complete all assigned projects within designated territory
- Participate in weekly conference calls
- Complete all call report questions and take pictures with your smartphone or tablet
- Build and develop strong relationships/partnerships with retail store management at each account
- Complete all types of merchandising activities including installs, resets, new item cut-ins, and signage placement
- Conduct out-of-stock reports, inventories and process returns
- Perform audits
- Cover stores outside of designated territory on an as-needed basis and/or for vacation coverage
- Utilize web portal reporting systems from a wireless tablet/phone
Requirements
- Merchandising and/or retail experience
- Ability to work 25-35 hours on average per week (hours may vary during peak times)
- Ability to travel within a 50-80 kilometer radius around home market
- Experience with computers, smartphones, iPads, etc.
- Must own a home computer and have internet access
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic, pro-active nature, and ability to overcome obstacles
- Valid driver's license, insurance, and excellent driving record (if driving)
- Successful completion of driving record and criminal background checks
- Ability to bend, squat, extend arms upward and downward, and stand for long periods
- Ability to lift and/or transport boxes up to 12 kg
- Ability to move fixtures on wheels
- Ability to read and understand directions and instructions on iPads or smartphones
