About the Role
Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Perimeter Security to safeguard clients in various industries. This role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned locations, deterring security incidents, and responding professionally to situations while upholding company values.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the business location, perimeter, and assigned areas to identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe people, vehicles, and property within assigned patrol areas in accordance with site procedures.
- Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift records accurately and promptly.
Requirements
- Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
- Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
