About the Role
The New York Stock Exchange (an Intercontinental Exchange company) is growing its Information Technology Compliance (ITC) team and seeks an IT Compliance Analyst to help build what comes next. ITC owns the development, implementation, and management of NYSE’s risk-based IT compliance program, keeping exchange technology aligned with SEC regulation, industry standards, and internal policy. This role offers a front-row view into exchange operations, advanced technology concepts, and the opportunity to apply judgment and problem-solving in a fast-moving regulatory environment.
Responsibilities
- Support responses to external regulatory examinations and requests concerning NYSE’s IT systems, policies, and processes, often collaborating across business units under tight deadlines.
- Manage activities ensuring NYSE compliance with SEC Regulation Systems Compliance and Integrity (Reg SCI) and similar frameworks, meeting strict reporting deadlines.
- Facilitate communication between business, technology, regulatory, and legal teams to advance compliance objectives.
- Provide guidance on technically complex IT compliance topics, translating between different disciplines.
- Inform leadership through ongoing monitoring and reporting of compliance status.
- Conduct technical assessments of new systems, system changes, and software defects, identifying regulatory, operational, and functional risks, and proposing compensating controls.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), IT SDLC or business analysis, IT audit or controls assurance, or a government/industry regulator role focused on technology compliance.
- Experience with equities and options markets, automated trading, or low-latency market data is preferred.
- Experience with regulatory compliance, ideally in financial services and/or fintech, is preferred.
- Solid understanding of IT risk and control frameworks (COBIT, ISO, NIST, ITIL) and their application to exchange systems.
- Ability to read and interpret financial securities regulation.
- Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to navigate ambiguity, apply good judgment to unfamiliar problems, and proactively identify areas needing attention.
- Proven ability to follow through on tasks, knowing when to self-solve or escalate issues.
- Quick learner with strong comprehension skills.
- Flexibility to work outside traditional business hours when required by market or regulatory deadlines.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to diverse audiences.
- Interest in automating compliance workflows and data analysis (e.g., Python, AI tools); willingness to learn is essential.

Salary/Compensations
- New York Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 USD
- Illinois Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 USD
