About the Role

Restaurant Associates is seeking a Food Service Worker to prepare, present, and serve food. This role is crucial for maintaining service areas, managing inventory, and ensuring high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Replenishes condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining service area cleanliness.
Stocks, replenishes, and organizes food, beverage, and supply inventories for four coffee bars.
Follows all food safety guidelines and understands proper temperature thresholds.
Maintains back-of-house (BOH) storage areas, ensuring products are properly stocked, rotated, and stored.
Monitors inventory levels and communicates restocking needs to management.
Assists with stocking, merchandising, and maintaining Micro Markets to ensure product availability and presentation standards.
Supports catering operations by preparing, delivering, setting up, and replenishing food and beverage service as needed.
Assists with pantry operations, ensuring snack, beverage, and supply stations remain clean, organized, and fully stocked.
Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Two years of food service experience is required.
Abides by all Company policies and procedures including but not limited to: The use of a medium weight cut gloves when handling or dealing with knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins or cleaning a slicer.
The use of oven mitts, fryer gloves or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers or steamtables.
The use of slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.
