About the Role
Manage and develop a store team of Asset Protection (AP) professionals responsible for executing the store’s security programs. Build relationships with store leadership to mitigate risk and provide a safe environment for customers and employees. Requires commitment to continuous learning through training modules and seminars.
Responsibilities
- Lead company values and foster a positive work environment.
- Manage and develop a team, providing resources, feedback, and development opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with store leadership to communicate safety and security program updates.
- Communicate priorities and ensure high standards for safety programs.
- Coordinate and manage store life safety and security systems, supporting employees and customers during emergencies.
- Foster relationships with community organizations, intelligence agencies, emergency responders, and local trade organizations.
- Coordinate and lead the AP team, including external contract security and law enforcement.
- Provide safety and security awareness training to all store employees.
- Partner with store management to minimize loss, analyze shrink, and conduct investigations.
Requirements
- 1 or more years of full-time experience as a sworn police officer with arrest authority.
- Valid license to carry a firearm.
- 1 or more years of experience leading a team.
- Ability to use good judgment and make difficult decisions regarding safety and wellbeing.
- Systems aptitude.
- Written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Problem-solving and conflict management skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must be 18 years or older.
