Responsibilities
- Complete a nightly MOD checklist and send copies to the General Manager, Engineer, Housekeeping and F&B teams.
- Manage guest resolution process, including investigation and creative problem-solving to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Handle hotel emergencies with full authority to contact providers and ensure all issues are handled and reported.
- Assist departments that are short-staffed or need additional help.
- Perform Front Office staff duties as needed, demonstrating a complete understanding of their job descriptions.
- Accurately manage and operate the MICROS system, including all daily and infrequent transactions.
Requirements
- High work ethic, self-initiative, and independent judgment.
- Proven customer service and problem-solving experience.
- Regular attendance according to established guidelines.
- Ability to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
- Ability to focus and complete work assignments on time despite frequent interruptions.
- Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and maintain staff and guest confidentiality.
- Ability to stand and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods.
- Ability to work in a standard office environment.
- Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods (6-8 hours a day).
- Occasional standing and walking throughout the workday.
- Frequent fine motor skills for keyboarding, mouse use, writing, and operating office equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, or carry items.
- Ability to lift and/or move 10–25 pounds as needed.
- Visual ability to read computer screens and printed materials, including close visual focus and color differentiation.
- Ability to hear and participate in conversations and meetings, and use phone/headset.
