About the Role
Hidden Level is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to contribute to the development of software components for Counter Unmanned Airborne Systems (C-UAS) and Unmanned Aircraft System Traffic Management (UTM). This role involves hands-on R&D experience and collaboration with experienced engineers.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of software components across our full stack, leveraging AWS services, Python, Flask, and SQL databases
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, architect solutions, and implement features
- Improve and expand the capabilities of existing enterprise tools and customer-facing products, ensuring secure seamless communication and data synchronization
- Participate in collaborative design and code reviews
- Document and clearly communicate designs to peers
- Test and validate designs to ensure proper and bug-free operation
Requirements
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s Degree program pursuing Computer Science or Software Engineering, or a Bachelor’s Degree program in Computer or Electrical Engineering with a strong programming background
- Completed Sophomore year or greater by Summer 2027
- A minimum grade point average of 3.4
- Proficiency with Python
- Experience using and developing on Linux platforms
- Understanding of SQL databases (Postgres, MySQL) and database design principles
- Familiarity with protocols like ZeroMQ, SSH, HTTP and TLS
- Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and implementation best practices
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with the capacity to think creatively to overcome technical challenges
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if required
