About the Role
This role allows drivers to build a career without relocating, running freight up and down the East Coast from the Syracuse area. It offers a structured path from student to solo driver with paid training and guaranteed pay during the initial solo period.
Responsibilities
- Run freight up and down the East Coast.
- Ride with an experienced trainer for 4 to 6 weeks.
- Drive own truck after training.
- Drop and hook with some live stops.
- Participate in orientation.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Age 21 or older.
- 120 or more hours from an accredited CDL school, or 6 months OTR in the last year, or 12 months within 5 years.
- No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years.
- No major preventable accidents in 5 years.
- No DUI/DWI within 5 to 10 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical plus hair and urine testing.
- Live within 200 miles of Syracuse, NY.

Salary/Compensations
- Average Weekly: $1,200 to $1,400
- Mileage Pay: 55 cents a mile to start, rising with experience to a max of 65 cents
- $15 stop pay
- $1,000 weekly guarantee for first 3 solo months
- $850 per week during training
