About the Role
The Leasing Team Member strives for 100% occupancy through resident retention, leasing current availability, and pre-leasing future availability. This role rewards people skills, sales experience, high energy, positive attitude, and excellent performance with great earning potential and advancement opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Act as a customer service ambassador, consistently exceeding expectations to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Greet prospective clients warmly.
- Answer incoming leasing calls.
- Determine client needs and preferences.
- Professionally present the community and apartment homes.
- Utilize feature/benefit selling techniques.
- Close sales effectively.
- Follow up with prospective clients.
- Complete all lease applications and lease file paperwork.
- Maintain accurate lease file documentation per company policy.
- Participate in lease file audits as assigned.
- Maintain cleanliness of the tour path to ensure a positive first impression.
- Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude towards team members, residents, prospective residents, and vendors.
- Participate in and assist with planning community events.
- Assist with various community projects as assigned by the Community Manager.
- Participate in required Cardinal U training.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of customer service and sales experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- High-energy and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Enjoyment and pride in providing excellent service.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; warm, friendly, and helpful demeanor in person and on the phone.
- Basic computer proficiency including typing and writing for correspondence.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
- Ability to embody the Cardinal Culture and Cardinal Core Values daily.
