About the Role
This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position offers a flexible and dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with Allied Universal. The role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other individuals at a public healthcare location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, public areas, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter.
- Monitor access points and observe activity to help deter unauthorized access, disruptive behavior, and other security-related concerns.
- Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
Requirements
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
